- Budget for team fun
- Bad middle management (team leads, lead engineers, etc.)
- Almost no innovation and gatekeeping on bringing new tools and tech.
- Difficult development setup (limited options of IDE, sometimes without plugins, no freedom on setup, heavy local dev environment).
- Old architecture.
- Philosophy of reinventing the wheel.
Replace middle management with individuals more open to change and invest into leveling the company to industry standards.
