Initially, an innovative, fast-paced company driven by incredible people. Generally, a great atmosphere to work in. Offers many opportunities to learn and grow.
In the last year or two, the company started really shifting the focus away from the people, the culture, and the greater impact, to pure financial results and investor satisfaction. The little perks that were available for employees, such as nice breakfast snacks, free soda fridges, and in some cases, simple respect, are vanishing. The high leadership became arrogant. A few times, they publicly implied that the employees are somehow "free riding" and that we should be very grateful to them for the amazing conditions they are giving us.
In some teams, we're working severely understaffed, but the expectation is to deliver massive results. This has been emphasized in almost every internal event.
The culture that was built by so many people over the years can very easily be dismantled in a short time by an arrogant attitude toward the employees. You're not winning anything by turning your employees into your enemy. It takes very little to destroy mutual trust, and you'll just be another bank, not an innovative FinTech.
Two guys interviewed me. The interview was about concurrency. They gave a task from HackerRank and asked for more details about my task during the interview. The task was about a payment system. You should prevent fraud cases and implement two metho
Got a referral from someone internally, then spoke briefly with the recruiter, then the team lead. I had a timed coding test, an hour review/revise session with some engineers from different teams, then a final behavioral interview with an SVP. Betw
I had a quick initial interview with the team lead, then a second with two engineers. After completing a programming assignment, we had a final interview to review the results.
