The first interviewer cancelled on me, maybe 15 minutes before the interview. The second interviewer seemed very junior (e.g., mentioned not being familiar with specific data structures in Python collections.* or specific datetime methods). After completing the prompt quickly and cleanly, they acknowledged it was a good solution, then kept pushing for a specific solution they had in mind. I coded out their optimal solution, then discussed concerns I had around edge cases and pragmatism, since the prompt was to provide methods for an API. I guess they just wanted to see someone write out their specific solution and rejected me ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
