I am a new grad and I completed a HackerRank assessment to get in contact with a recruiter. I then had a phone coding interview.
After receiving feedback, I was invited onsite for:
- Three coding interviews
- A product interview
- A hiring manager interview
The process was very smooth overall, and I would recommend applying.

Pros: Affirm engineering is an exceptionally smart group of people, and working here provides a very intellectual environment. Affirm is particularly great for people who would like to maintain an interest in the more theoretical and academic aspects of computer science and software design and architecture, while at the same time working towards significant social impact.
Cons: If you're looking for a company with very solid infrastructure, developer tooling, and support, then Affirm may not be the place for you. Our entire stack is very much a work in progress, and all software developers are encouraged to make contributions across the board.
