I first discovered Affirm through an intern summer event they hosted in their office. After reaching out to the recruiter and talking, I went in for lunch to meet some of the team and subsequently scheduled a technical phone interview.
Out of respect for the employer, I will not disclose the technical interview questions I was asked. However, I will add that I thought the questions were challenging and unique, equally testing programming ability and algorithmic understanding. I was pleasantly surprised by their scope and detail.
I went through two phone screenings before being brought on-site. The on-site consisted of several technical interviews, a "lunch interview", a product demo, and a meeting with one of the engineering team leads. The technical interviews shifted between a focus on hard-coding skills and whiteboard coding. I later received notice of an offer within 48 hours.
Overall, the interview process was quite streamlined and efficient. My recruiter was very communicative and helpful, responding even during off-business hours. The on-site interviews were organized and transparently scheduled, and there was a quick turnaround from phone interviews and on-site interviews.
Great job!
