Affirm is great. I have never been surrounded by so many talented and hard-working people. As someone who just left the military, I was looking for an organization that gave me a sense of purpose similar to what I felt in the military. Affirm has given me purpose, as well as provides me the ability to make a true and meaningful change to the entire company.
If you are looking to be challenged, work your butt off, learn something new every day, and make an impact on the company you work for, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a simple desk job that is not stressful, this is not the place for you.
They do performance reviews every six months, and if you are a hard worker, you will be rewarded for sure.

At times, work-life balance can become a challenge. Ensure you set personal limits; otherwise, you can quickly find yourself overwhelmed. My manager has come to me to make sure I am using my unlimited PTO. My team tends to smartly use unlimited PTO to take long weekends and holiday time off, but some people don't use it enough.
Also, compensation is generous but could be a bit higher to compete with some other larger tech companies.
