Machine Learning Engineer Interview Experience - Bangkok, Thailand
Process
The first step was a pre-assessment coding exercise online. It had three quite tricky questions and a five-hour time limit.
Then there were two online interviews:
- One more technical, with the Data Science Manager.
- The second, more like a manager interview.
In the first round, the interviewer asked questions about my past experiences. Then there was one simple probability exercise and one programming exercise. I did struggle on the first probability question, and we ran out of time just before I was about to finish the programming exercise.
In the end, I wasn't invited to the second round. However, the interview process was nice and totally doable.
Questions
Three binary classifiers have accuracy p. What is the accuracy of their combination if they use majority vote? Accuracy is 0.8.
How many ways are there to climb a ladder of n height if you can take either one or two steps? (Hint: dynamic programming)
