I have been at Aily for a bit over half a year and I can say I had never learned so much so fast. The work is challenging and changes often, it's difficult to feel stuck Also, the data team is really good, the people are really talented and always helpful and willing to teach. The team is open to new ideas, and the management usually endorses them if they make sense.
In my opinions, It's a gold place to learn good practices on data management (unit testing, DBT, Airflow, ...) Talent is rewarded, good people get promoted and the pay is good.
Finally, I find it very inspiring to have a female CTO and CEO, they have a good vision and are quite approachable in my experience, much better than C levels in other startups I've seen
There are peaks of work, specially around tenant integrations and some sales events for big clients. Data is the central part of the product, and in the critical path, sometimes there is pressure for delivery to unlock other teams (ai and engineering) Also, the timelies are usually tight and some requirements change last minute and the data team is quite new, some processes are still undefined, like in other startups.
About the first interview: They ask about you. They talk about the company. They ask about your previous experience. They tell you about the positions they are looking for and tell you about what positions you could cover.
Slow interview process. You meet with different stakeholders from different departments. The format was very consulting-oriented. The interview times kept changing last minute. When I met with the different interviewers, I kept getting conflicting in
The process included an initial technical review (coding challenge in C#/.NET), a systems design interview, and a cultural round focusing on technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration. Duration: 3 weeks.
