Great pay and work-life balance, and some really smart and talented colleagues.
At Airtable, we get to encounter some unique and, honestly, quite fun product challenges (e.g., "how much customization should we support with features and which use cases are we choosing to address with it?"). As an engineer, you get to play a huge role in how we go about solving them. We have some really talented PMs and Designers to work with, but the technical nature of the product lends itself rather well for engineers to support and even drive product direction. If you enjoy product thinking and/or talking to passionate customers, product engineering at Airtable is likely a good fit.
The product is very complex and can take some time to ramp up on. The fact that it is a platform for building apps supportive of any industry/vertical can make it a challenge to understand the use cases and really grok customer pain points until you get a chance to see how the product is used first-hand.
OA, 1 hour technical screen. Didn't make it to the next round. It was a real-world style problem that had multiple parts. Given tables similar to ones that Airtable uses, write different functions.
I had a recruiter screen which went well. I really liked the recruiter here; she was super nice and on top of things, and I was excited for the opportunity to interview with Airtable. However, I didn't appreciate my interviewer at all. My interviewe
I only reached the first step of the phone screen. They were sadly looking for someone with more experience, so it did not work out. However, the recruiter was very nice and responsive over email.
