I was interviewed as part of a walk-in they conducted. It was for a team that was being set up. The manager was super technical and assured me that I would have a nice learning time here at Akamai.

My interview was conducted mainly by my then-manager. The stress was particularly on Data Structures, Algorithms, and OOP concepts. Usually, they conduct three rounds of interviews for other candidates, but after my second interview with my manager, the third round did not happen. There was an HR interview later.

Otherwise, the interview process usually involves telephonic screening, followed by interviews at the company if they are satisfied with the telephonic rounds. At the time I gave my interview, Akamai was considered one of the harder companies to get into. Perhaps the view is different now.
