Online written test to assess your basic skills before inviting you for an F2F interview.
Once the online written test is clear, you will have a well-managed interview. All interviewers will be ready (unless they are stuck with some serious issues).
First round is with the Team Lead (technical and about your current role), then by the Principal Lead (more technical, testing your problem-solving approach). This is followed by the Team Manager (why you want to join, what you need from your next employer, and so on).
(All interviews are on the same day and will not take more than 3 hours).
If you clear all F2F rounds, you will be called for a Director Level Interview on the next working day.
Usually, the Technical Director round is first. If they show a green signal, you will be forwarded to the HR Director. However, if the Technical Director is busy, they will directly forward you to the HR Director. Once the Technical Director is free, HR will bring you before them.
(Great management by HRs here and good behavior towards any interviewee).
The Technical Director will ask you 1-2 technical questions and about what you do in your current organization. The HR Director will ask you about your CTC, ECTC, and your family.
On the same day (Director Rounds day), HR will share the feedback.
After the Director rounds, wait for 2-3 days. You will get a call from HR to come to the Akamai office to collect your offer.
GO AND ACCEPT YOUR OFFER
The only thing I did not like is that they did not even negotiate CTC and released the offer by their own choice, even though you stated your expected CTC in the HR Director Round. I received a 15% hike on my current CTC (I have 3.7 years of experience). When I raised this concern and asked them to revise it, they told me they would consider it in the next appraisal and that they had many other variables that would cover this.
Upon further checking with employees working at Akamai, the maximum percentage hike is 15% for certain teams, and all other technical teams receive only an 8-12% hike.
