Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Bengaluru, Karnataka

Process

There were three rounds in total (or maybe more if I would have qualified for the third round). I think each of them was an eliminator, so if one doesn't qualify for a round, there won't be any further rounds.

First round was a problem-solving round where a problem was shared, and I had to solve it in an online IDE using a HackerRank link.

Second round was mostly around system design and coding standards.

Third round was a mix of the first two rounds with general questions, like what traits of an ideal team are, according to you, etc. How do you handle code reviews, etc.

The worst part was that after the third round, the recruiter didn't reach out to me to tell me that they were not proceeding further, forget about feedback. He didn't even pick up my calls.

At least they should send a rejection email to the candidates whom they are not proceeding with.

Questions

[1st round] There is an m x n matrix consisting of '0' and '' only. You have to output another m x n matrix where regions of '' entirely surrounded by '0' should be turned to '0's. The region should not be touching any of the boundaries, because then it is not entirely surrounded.

[2nd round] Design a food aggregator service.
