1x interview with HR (general talk about the position) 1x non-technical interview with the team manager (to introduce the team, project, and get some information about the applicant) 3x technical interviews (one with the team manager, two with team members)
To get an offer, you have to succeed in 2 technical interviews (convince 2 out of 3 people that you will fit there). I managed to convince only one person.
Until now, I had a good feeling about the interview process, even when I "failed" two technical interviews. What I do not like is that nobody contacted me with the result, and I did not receive any answer even after a direct question via email. I already had another offer, but before accepting, I wanted to know if I would receive an offer also from Akamai. I do not like such an approach, and it says something about the company's behavior in other situations.
It's hard to generalize, since every technical interview was completely different. There was a request to code something online, general C++ questions (constructors, destructors, casting, etc.), finding a problem in a code excerpt, network communication questions, and more.
