There were 2 technical rounds, 1 managerial round, 1 director round, and finally HR. The process took 3-6 weeks. HR people are the worst at Akamai. I went to their office 3 times to complete the interview process. I cleared 5 rounds of interviews; they even asked me to fill out an employment form, but HR was very rude. She didn't even want to pay a 30% hike, even though I consistently said in each interview round that I was looking for more salary since my financial condition wasn't good. The director said, "Don't worry about salary, we pay well." But I didn't receive an offer. When I called HR, she said they had given the offer to someone else. How unprofessional is this? Don't join the Bangalore office; the worst HR are there.
