Applied for SDE positions. My recruiter didn't schedule any appointments via email; instead, he called directly, which was really unexpected. Fortunately, I answered but was told about a QA position and encouraged to apply. It made you feel like you were the best candidate for them. They asked about my current salary and boasted how high their salary is. But once you expressed interest in your original position, they would just refer you to another hiring manager.
