Management talks a lot about promoting diversity and team building, but the reality is that if your type of diversity sets you sufficiently apart, the team building will be about hating you. The members will do whatever they can to make sure your code does not get into the code base, thus making your production look low.
Try to see through people using the peer review system as a vehicle for hazing or for self-aggrandizement by self-promoters.
