I applied on LinkedIn and got a technical review meeting scheduled without having any prior discussion with recruiters/HR.
The interviewer was nice and asked me about my CV. He asked me to create a simple Python/Java method to reverse a string, and he was "impressed" (it was a very easy task, to be honest).
His English was terrible, really. We had to write in chat to understand what he meant. I am not an English native speaker, but I work in English every day. He had to ask me to talk slower because he had a very low level of English.
I passed the round.
Had another call with, apparently, a VP. He asked me about my CV and past experiences. I felt like he wasn't listening because he was typing on his laptop and changing windows all the time (not taking notes about the interview, it seemed he was answering emails/messages too).
I passed the round.
Got a call from HR to ask about my expectations. Still nobody explaining the role, the team, or the product. Just high-level explanations.
They felt reluctant to meet my expectations, but we still decided to carry on with a final interview.
On this last call, they (again) asked me about my CV and past experiences. On the last two minutes, HR asked me some behavioral questions and what I expected from their company.
I answered that I didn't know yet what the role was about, nor the project, since nobody told me.
They made a funny face when I talked about "work-life-balance." I have to mention that there was literally a bed in the office, outside the meeting room, and I could see it on the videoconference. It was scary.
In the end, I got a LinkedIn notification saying they discarded me.
I messaged the recruiter to get feedback to improve, but she didn't reply.
I expected more from such a big company; the process was hell. I don't recommend it. Don't waste your time and save your work-life balance!
