Friendly Team, Slow Reimbursement
Compared to other big tech companies, Alibaba Group in the US is small, but the team is friendly and helpful. I am at the Alipay Group researching deep learning, and my mentor is willing to provide support and help me improve. The work load is fine for me, and there are lots of food options provided for free.
Their base salary and benefits are much less than the industrial average for an internship but reasonable for full-time. Their reimbursement processing is also very slow.
There are few contacts between departments. If you are not a key person in that department, you do not know what others are doing.
