Process

I applied at the end of June and, in around two months, I started working.

The interview process was enjoyable for the most part.

It isn't the hardest, and pretty common questions like two sum or duplicates in an array are asked for coding. Also, scripting questions, such as, given a txt file, how can I...

Behavioral questions are also pretty straightforward.

Be sure to ask questions about the role and team at the end of each interview.

Questions

First Round (Phone Interview with Hiring Manager):

  • Determine if a number is a "jumble number" (True/False).
  • Reverse a given number without using a built-in function (e.g., if 567, return 765).
  • Behavioral question.
  • Time for your questions for the interviewer (ask questions!).

Second Round (Interview Loop with 3 Team Members and Hiring Manager):

  1. First Interview:

    • Scripting questions.
    • Given a text file, return unique statuses or the user with the most errors, etc.
    • Troubleshooting and monitoring questions.
    • Ask questions at the end.
  2. Second Interview:

    • Behavioral questions (e.g., "Tell me about a time...").
    • Troubleshooting, monitoring, and metrics questions.
    • Ask questions at the end.
  3. Third Interview:

    • Given an array arr, return the duplicate elements.
    • Given an array arr and an integer k, find the number of pairs of elements in the array whose sum is k (similar to the "Two Sum" problem, but return the count of pairs).
    • Troubleshooting, monitoring, and metrics questions.
  4. Fourth Interview:

    • Behavioral questions (e.g., "Tell me about a time...").
    • Ask questions at the end.
