Internship at Amazon
Software Development Engineer I • Former Employee
Seattle, Washington, United States
August 27, 2016
Pros: Before my internship, I didn't have very high expectations. A lot of people said on the internet that Amazon doesn't care much about its employees. But after my internship, I think Amazon is amazing. Everyone is super helpful here, and I learned a lot from them. The work time is flexible, and we can even work from home one day a week. Amazon organizes many activities for interns, such as movies or picnics. Also, Seattle is a great city (in summer) with lots of fun places to visit.
Cons: The salary is a little lower than Bay Area companies. But the Bay Area has higher tax, so the difference is not that much.
