Pros: Experience with huge data volumes for technical people. Learning how things work with huge data volumes. Learning how to do quick fixes during on-call support. Less documentation to do for testing and design documents. Flexible work timings. Initial hike and bonus are good.

Cons: On-call support on weekends. Less consideration shown towards employees at times. Most of the time will be spent understanding how existing things caused a bug and how to fix that. More focus on getting things done very fast instead of doing them in the best way. No time for thinking or doing things except work. Too much focus on frugality at times. Huge time involved in supporting existing applications. Post-appraisal hikes are not good. They also pro-rate the % hike based on the number of months you have worked for the organization in that appraisal cycle. Not good family and work-life balance. Work hard only.
