The recruiter reached out to me. After completing a job expectation survey, a phone screening interview was scheduled directly for me (no OA).
On the interview day, I waited for 35 minutes, but the interviewer didn't show up. I contacted the recruiter during that time, but I didn't get a response until late that night.
The recruiter asked me to schedule a time to chat. He said in the chat that they were told Amazon was no longer hiring for the role one day before my interview. It was interesting because I confirmed 7 days before my interview if it was canceled, as their job website indicated I was no longer under consideration. However, I was told that it was not canceled and that they were still actively hiring.
