Process

I recently underwent a two-stage interview process for an engineering position.

Initially, I was interviewed by an L5 engineer. This discussion lasted about 45 minutes and focused on technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and relevant experience.

We delved into specific projects I had worked on, and I was asked to explain the methodologies and technologies used. The engineer also presented a couple of technical problems to solve on the spot, which allowed me to demonstrate my analytical thinking and coding proficiency.

Following this, the hiring manager conducted the second part of the interview, also lasting around 45 minutes. This segment was more focused on behavioral aspects, team dynamics, and cultural fit within the company.

The manager asked about my career aspirations, how I handle challenges, and my experiences working in collaborative environments. We also discussed the company's vision, values, and how my goals align with their objectives.

Overall, the two interviews provided a comprehensive evaluation of both my technical competencies and interpersonal skills, ensuring a thorough assessment for the engineering role.
