Quality Analyst Interview Experience

Process

This interview was for Amazon Games. After passing the assessment and initial phone screen, you'll be interviewing with a manager of the team, which will be about an hour.

The manager I interviewed with spent 15-20 minutes talking about themselves and their previous experience. Granted they have more experience than I do, it will not take me more than 5 minutes to talk about my experience.

The interviewer then asked me to talk about myself, but something that was NOT on the resume. After that, the interviewer proceeded to ask situational QA questions.

All throughout, (and based on the questions) I had a feeling that they, as a publisher, like to skip some testing or do not value game testers in general.

While having Amazon Games is great on a resume, and they surely pay average (initial phone screen confirmed my salary range), I would assume easy burnout is possible.
