I recently interviewed at Amazon for the SDE-I role. The interview consisted of two rounds.
Round 1: A LeetCode medium-level problem, mostly around problem-solving and data structures.
Round 2: A LeetCode hard-level problem, which really tested my algorithmic thinking under pressure.
Overall, it was a challenging but insightful experience. I enjoyed the problem-solving aspects and the structured nature of the interviews.
Questions
Apart from coding, they also asked me about my project work—what I built, the challenges I faced, and how I solved them.
