I recently went through the Amazon interview process, which began with resume shortlisting.
The first round was a 1.5-hour online assessment consisting of two programming questions focused on data structures and algorithms.
After clearing this, I was invited to a technical interview where I was asked in-depth questions related to my resume, coding skills, and problem-solving approach.
Throughout the process, there were also behavioral assessments and surveys designed to understand how well candidates align with Amazon’s Leadership Principles.
Finally, we were asked to resubmit our resumes for internal verification.
One of the key questions they asked me was a coding problem that involved optimizing an algorithm using data structures like hash maps or priority queues. The problem tested both my problem-solving ability and how well I could explain my approach step-by-step.
Additionally, they asked behavioral questions such as, “Tell me about a time you took ownership of a difficult situation,” which aligns with Amazon’s Leadership Principles.
