I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks.
The interview was a single 1-hour round conducted by an Amazon SDE-II. We spent the first 20 minutes on introductions. After the interviewer introduced themselves, I walked them through my background with a strong focus on my previous internship experience at DRDO. Because I was able to discuss real-world internship experience in-depth, the interviewer skipped asking about my personal projects entirely.
The next 35 minutes were dedicated to the technical assessment, which consisted of two Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) questions:
I successfully explained my approach, communicated my thought process, and coded the optimal solutions for both problems within the allotted time. For the last 5 minutes, the floor was open for questions. I used this time to ask the interviewer about Amazon's day-to-day work culture and what specific types of projects or domains an incoming intern might be assigned to.
They asked me to solve the Integer Break problem in their own coding environment.
The following metrics were computed from 1 interview experience for the Amazon SDE-intern role in Sat home.
