Pros: Great pay Interesting work Great coworkers Flexible work-life balance

Cons: No free food. No corporate housing; had to look for own place to live. Weather is pretty gloomy.

Pros: Awesome projects and highly talented people to work with.

Cons: SDE tools are mostly internal, so there is a learning curve in the beginning.

Pros: It was an awesome opportunity working with super-smart people and learning to be a more effective engineer and teammate by learning the leadership principles. The managers really seem to take "hire and develop the best" to heart and are amazing mentors that set you up for success as an engineer at Amazon or any other company. They're also super accommodating to your future career plans/goals if you plan on returning. I learned so much, loved the work environment of being a team player and working as a team to deliver results, and loved the super interesting projects.
