Pros: As an intern, I was given freedom to discover possible projects. The resources at my disposal were incredible: internal systems, training programs, and super-smart mentors and teammates. You will never run out of things to do, learn, or even entertain yourselves.
Amazon is a unique company in which to experience "customer obsession."
Cons: As my organization is a world leader in a specific department, interns usually don't get the chance to contribute to a production feature. Rather, we have to do research and implement proof-of-concepts. It is fun but can be overwhelming because the system is unique and there are a lot of things to get used to before becoming productive.
