Things are getting worse every day
Software Development Engineer (SDE) • Current Employee
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
June 4, 2024
Pros: Stuff to learn. Many customer-facing features.
Cons: It gets worse and worse for work-life balance because the teams want to deliver more and more to avoid getting laid off. The return-to-office policies are painful.

Great Products, Slow Delivery
Product Tester • Current Employee
Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pros: Amazing products which you can always rely on.
Cons: Sometimes delivery takes too long.
3.0
Far too many meetings, and too little senior engineering leadership
Software Development Engineer I Intern • Former Employee
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
February 20, 2017
Pros: - Good wages, hard to beat in my city (Toronto).
- Flexible hours; not much of a morning person, so working 11-7 suited me more.
- Good amount of freedom on tasks.
Cons: Far too much time spent in meetings. Sprint planning would take upwards of 3 hours sometimes.
Senior engineering leadership is basically non-existent at the Toronto office. The most senior engineer I had access to had been at the company 2 years, and working a total of 4. We had an SDE III assigned to our team, but we only saw him about twice during my term.
