Horrible experience, team, project

Software Developer Intern • Former Employee

Berlin, Berlin, Germany

November 14, 2022

Pros: Besides the customer-oriented values, not much.

Cons: I was assigned a project for a product that was not only very poorly described but also useless. I found out at the end of my internship that the product was no longer going to be used. My mentor was on holiday for the first few weeks and did not have much time for the project anyway. Nobody actually helped me. All the people in the team only helped if I was going to praise them during the daily stand-up. Basically, I wasted my time there, learning close to nothing useful.

Quick Project, Remote Questions

Software Developer Intern • Former Employee

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Pros: Very professional, organized, and speedy. Was given an intern project to complete within 12 weeks. Was assigned a manager, mentor, and an onboarding buddy who would help during the process. Was able to complete the project in time.

Cons: Having a mentor and manager in a remote location made it slightly difficult to receive quick responses to quick questions sometimes.
