Pros: A lot of people say that Amazon has terrible work-life balance. But after talking to other Amazonians and working on my team during the summer, I've realized that work-life balance is tied closely to your team.
Thankfully, I had a great team that really valued work-life balance, so there was no expectation to work beyond your 8 hours. It was actually discouraged to work more than 8 hours a day.
Cons: This being said, I have talked to other Amazon employees who have had terrible work-life balance. It sucks that work-life balance is Russian roulette and there are no guarantees that your team will be supportive of your boundaries.

It was a great learning curve
Software Developer Intern • Current Employee

Pros: - Lots to learn.
- Every last Friday of the month is a no-work day, and all Fridays do not have any meetings.
- Pay is respectable.
Cons: Sometimes you end up pushing yourself harder to complete the work. So WLB can sometimes be a problem.
