This was for an SDE II at AWS Cryptography.
The first interview was conducted by a recruiter. It was very pleasant and informative.
The second was a 45-minute technical phone screen by a senior developer.
The third was an hour-long technical code interview mixed with Amazon Leadership Principles, performed by a development team member.
The fourth interview was about the same.
The fifth was an hour-long system design session with the development manager. I enjoyed it.
The sixth interview was just like the third and fourth.
The recruiter called me the very next day, stating that the overall decision was that I am not ready. They offered feedback on areas where I excelled as well as areas for improvement. They also invited me to explore other roles within the organization.
Bottom line, for me, it was a very positive experience, regardless of the outcome. It's always great to receive constructive feedback.
