I had the chance to fast-track my application after attending the 2024 Spring Technology Insights and participating in a student hackathon.

I received an online assessment (OA), secured an interview date for August 15th, and then received an offer on August 19th.

My interview went well and was actually fun. It was mostly behavioral and competency-based questions.

My interviewer asked:

• What SQL is
• What are the different types of joins and when to use them
• When to use SQL and NoSQL databases

(I was asked about SQL because it was mentioned in my skills section on my CV. Ensure your skills are genuine so you are not surprised when asked about them. Also, ensure you know your projects in depth, as they might ask about them.)

We then moved on to live coding.

I was asked to:

• Write a function that takes two strings and returns the index of the first occurrence of one string within the other.
• Write a program to find the sum of all even numbers from 1 to 100, and then improve its performance.

We ended the interview with behavioral questions.
