I applied to a different position at Amazon. The process started with an online assessment (1-3 questions). After that, I was declined.
Half a year later, I received an email from AWS asking if I'd be interested in interviewing for a new position.
I had a first technical interview with a developer (over video conference). They asked me LeetCode questions as well as questions about operating systems.
After that, I had a two-part "on-site" interview day from home, with a team lead and a senior developer. They asked hard variations of LeetCode questions as well as leadership principle questions.
The interviews were overall really fun and challenging. All the people I interacted with (especially the HR representative) were really nice, helpful, and welcoming.
