Pros: No matter what background you have, you can learn considerably a lot of stuff. All I learned during my internship was new. I wasn't placed based on what I already knew, which is even better (for me at least). Sometimes, the work environment is too quiet for my taste. Office supplies are provided. They have their own mailing room, which is supposedly cheaper than other places. * 24-hour access to the building. * Able to remotely work from home on some instances. Very smart people. Depending on the team or floor, some drinking parties are organized weekly or bi-weekly. The Amazon picnic for all employees is fun with food and drinks provided.

Pros: Most advanced tech stack in the industry. Friendly coworkers. Great resource for self-improvement.

Cons: Pay a little less compared to Google and Facebook at the same level for developers.

Pros: Initially competitive pay for college grads. A well-known company.

Cons: Long hours. Very political review/promotion process. Essentially, any code you write (even outside of work) is owned by Amazon. Uses open source, but does not contribute to open source. A lot of bureaucracy. Very little engineer autonomy; your roadmap is set (and constantly changed) by VPs and PMs who are making decisions based on what, politically, is best for their careers.
