Cons: 1. Work-life balance is not a reality. 2. You will get a circular "On Call" (to handle burning issues) depending on the size of the team. If your ping device rings at 4:00 A.M., you have to attend to the issue; otherwise, it will escalate to your manager or skip manager. 3. There is a process of a development plan or coaching plan. In this, a manager will put you on a development plan if they find that you are lacking in one of Amazon's 14 leadership principles. They will put you on this plan without telling you. You will not be informed if your manager puts you on a development plan. You will know if you want to switch teams. 4. Every new joining gets a number of Amazon stocks. However, if you don't have the "magic number" which is 20, then in the first year, you will not get any stocks.
