Process

I worked at Amazon for about one and a half years until I was laid off.

During my employment with Amazon, I was recognized as a valued employee.

I applied again after seven months of being unemployed and asked my internal connections to refer me to the new hiring manager.

To my surprise, I had to go through the following steps again:

  • Interview with the recruiter
  • Submitting an essay
  • Phone interview (technical and LP)
  • Loop interview that included coding, system design, and leadership principles interviews

Questions

System design for a system like Dropbox.

LeetCode type questions about parsing a comma-delimited string (that included escape characters) and a data structure algorithm question for placing objects of different sizes in a box in a way that no two adjacent objects are next to each other.
