Pros: It is a very good learning place.
If you are with a good manager, your career path will be very good.
Cons: Very bad work-life balance.
If your relationship with your manager is not good, your hard work is all wasted. They will screw you over big time, and no one can stop it.
Any kind of feedback, even annual peer reviews, might backfire, especially if your manager is not on your side.
Recently, too many people have been hired. If you are looking to work with real Amazon people, there aren't many. There's an 80% chance your neighbor has also been at Amazon for less than a year.

Pros: Many teams working for different businesses. Relatively open technology. Small team.
Cons: Really bad immigration policy compared to similar companies.
On-call duty, workload, and for SDEs, too much supporting on legacy systems.
