Process
I applied online.
OA, then received email that I passed OA and no guarantee of interview. Got final round interview scheduled 2 months later. 2 interviews for superday. I got grilled on my resume in both interviews. 2nd interviewer seemed like he really did not want to be there and was clearly trying to pressure cook me and have me slip.

A great place to work if you are in a software development role
Software Development Engineer In Test II • Current Employee
Seattle, Washington, United States
April 4, 2009
Pros: You get to work with some of the smartest people in the industry. The environment is very competitive; you would stand out as a sore thumb if you are not performing as well as the others.
The work is quite interesting depending on what aspect of Amazon you are working on. You get to work with the latest technologies in the field. You are expected to be a self-starter and have the ability to learn on the job and adapt to rapidly changing work priorities.
You should be flexible with your work hours, as you might be working weekends when the work is really crazy.
Cons: Work longer hours.
Not much growth opportunity in a QA role.
Bonuses not as good as offered by competition.
