Applied to many different roles, but signing up to a new grad presentation through my uni was what got me in the loop (and I didn’t even attend it).
Passed OAs (two sum variation and longest increasing subsequence).
Failed on-site. I seemed to pass the first interview – longest substring – but not the second one (bar raiser) – reverse words in string in O(n), and the interviewer added constraints as I was coding.
Coding seemed fine for both candidates. The first received 2/2 LPs and the second received 1/2 LPs.
The Bar Raiser hammered me on a project I chose to talk about. The Bar Raiser is in ML, and the project had a small element that would use ML, though it is not yet fully implemented. I revealed my background as a career changer in this area, and they were less than impressed.
I also struggled to understand the Bar Raiser and had to ask them to repeat themselves many times, which seemed to irritate them.
