I was contacted by more than five recruiters asking if I could make time to speak with one of them about opportunities at Amazon.
I scheduled a call with one, and the first thing he said – without discussing anything else – was that he was only focused on recruiting for back-end jobs, so he didn't have anything for me. This begs the question of why he reached out.
He then proceeded to ask me to look at Amazon's job board and apply for anything that interested me, which is more time than I'm willing to spend.
TLDR: If you're actively applying, respond to cold emails from recruiters. Otherwise (if you're just curious about opportunities at the company), ignore them. It's not worth the time.
