Process

A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn.

I sent my resume and, after review, was sent an online assessment.

The assessment consisted of:

  • Two coding questions (one LeetCode Easy, one LeetCode Hard)
  • A series of values-driven behavioral questions

After that, I scheduled a virtual interview with an engineer from their team.

A week after interviewing, I received an offer.

Questions

Online Assessment:

  • Leetcode easy using a hashmap/arrays.
  • Leetcode medium using Dijkstra's algorithm.

Relied on genuine answers, keeping Amazon's principles in mind for behavioral questions.

Final Interview:

Basic behaviorals regarding a time I worked under a deadline and a time I had to make an important decision.

  • Coding question where I used a minimum heap (priority queue with self-balancing tree and underlying structure) and answered questions about my work. Code was not required to actually run.
