The interview process involved three rounds, not including the initial online assessment:
Phone screening with an HR representative. This involved general questions about your experiences and the tools used in previous projects.
Technical interview. This was conducted over the phone with screen sharing for code. While faces were not required to be shown, this may vary. The interviewer was very understanding and supportive, even though I felt I didn't perform as well as I could have.
Panel interview with five individuals. Each interview lasted one hour. I had the flexibility to choose the timing and whether to complete all interviews in one day or spread them over two. The hiring manager seemed very engaged and ended up being quite supportive, demonstrating this through dramatic body language and gestures. The "raise the bar" individual was also pleasant, though their impression of me was unclear. They were skilled at discussion and interviewing but adept at concealing their feelings, or perhaps my performance was not as impressive as I had hoped. The remaining three team members asked highly technical questions that seemed beyond the scope of the position applied for, as I felt they were more suited for a development role. Despite this, they appeared to be great people to work with, though my responses to these questions might have negatively impacted my final score.
In one of the technical interviews, during the final rounds of panel interviews, one question was something along the lines of: “If you were a manager of a developer team, how would you design the system for a global project?” (with some details of the project).
