The interview process began with a prep call with the recruiter. This was unique as they provided an outline of the interview process and gave clear direction on what the interviewers would ask and were looking for. This took about 30 minutes.
After the recruiter prep call, another interview was set up a week later. This was supposed to be with the hiring manager but was changed to an integration specialist, along with someone who was shadowing the call.
The interviewers did not seem to care about my background. They even cut me off and told me they had already read my resume when I was providing an introduction of myself. They were only concerned with their set of questions and getting answers from me. It was very cold.
The interviewers also had a level of arrogance, as they challenged how things operated within my current company and felt that what I explained could not have been right.
The impression of the second interview was that I was a burden to these gentlemen and they wanted to hurry through the process. They also did not ask questions that aligned with the prep call with the recruiter. There was definitely a disconnect in expectations.
The recruiter provided a great experience, whereas the interviewers did not.
