One word... Grueling! The interview process was the worst I have experienced in 20 years. They scheduled nine separate one-hour sessions. They did not consider my schedule and maintained a "take it or leave it" attitude. I complied with their schedule.

They required an assessment to evaluate how I could articulate a scenario. The interviewers never read the assessment!

The interviewers read from a script and only allowed five minutes for questions. While I spoke, they were busy capturing my responses, and I heard constant typing. They should ask more direct questions about a candidate's background and skills. Their "Tell me a time when..." scenarios are a joke because most people will fabricate stories unless they have extensive industry experience.

I asked one interviewer how he would work with the position I was applying for, and he stated, "Oh, I am just practicing how to interview people. I will not be working with you!"

Another interviewer asked technical questions she was unfamiliar with and read the official answer from a document.

They all stated that AWS focuses on writing styles. I understand that writing is essential for communication; however, what is their style? I do not know because they never read my assessment.

Tell me a time where you had to make an unpopular decision and what was the outcome?

They use the STAR technique, which is so 1990s.
