Pros
  • Work from home.
  • It used to be fun to work on different workflows.
  • There was some sense of camaraderie during COVID times.
  • Learned a lot about AI and LLM.
  • Trainers were great.
Cons
  • Work from home being taken away due to RTO mandate by Jassy.
  • Despite having medical accommodations, we are also being let go.
  • Pay is way too low for what we're doing.
  • No severance.
  • No relocation benefits.
  • No raises even if we moved to Boston, which I wouldn't even be able to survive on.
  • Performance-based raises taken away in favor of market-based ones (our pay is currently capped with no way to increase it).
  • No way to really advance unless you want to be a manager.
  • Clear expectation that we'll be having to fight for unemployment.
  • Hostile upper management that talks about fellow employees behind their back.
  • Hostile upper management being shady and using secretive tactics to get rid of us.
Advice to Management

Do better. Cycle out the upper management pool in favor of managers that actually care about their employees. Require upper management to take empathy training.
