Amazon is a very big company, and you can always apply for different internal positions. This doesn't mean you will be considered, and sometimes the decision of the interview panel isn't that clear.
Considering Amazon as the biggest company in the world, to maintain highly qualified personnel, the annual salary increase should be more attractive. Sometimes it is null if they consider you are already in the "top of the range." But this range is practically a secret from you.
