Next to impossible to get a significant raise. You are expected to do all sorts of extracurricular activities to "build your body of work" with zero guarantee of a promotion or increase in income. If you get a bad manager, your life will be hell, as they are encouraged to weed out the "lowest performers". I watched some very qualified people get labeled "low performers" because their managers were clueless.
It's not 2010 anymore. There are lots of very innovative tech companies that pay better and have less internal drama than Amazon.
