This company (AWS) can't be ranked as a top employer, although it is a market leader

Pros

Good salary, good benefits, some kind folks working there.

Cons

No one cares about the well-being of employees. Nothing is being done more than useless statements and deco principles. Some people, including account managers, are pushed to meet customers during Covid-19 with blatant disregard for human well-being.

During 3 years of work, I have seen many good people terminated after they start, just because their manager thinks they don't fit, even if the manager is still new to AWS and to the cloud. A lot of people are being hired without good culture being maintained; many people would just leave if they receive a higher offer.

Mixed feelings about working there, but I wouldn't do it again.

So many slogans and principles flying around, it becomes ironic after a while how you see some people violating basic ethics in treating employees while repeating Amazon Principles all the time.
